Sitting on the top two floors by Paris’s Place de la Madeleine, this three bedroom duplex apartment creates a surreal feeling through this blurring of the edge between the interior and exterior, as well as the multiple layers of transparent and reflective glass surfaces.
The Les Ombres restaurant sits atop the Musée du Quai Branly adjacent to the Eiffel Tower. The roof structure of the restaurant is based upon the structure of a dragonfly’s wing. This monumental and faceted glass structure extends across the restaurant, allowing an unobstructed view of the adjacent Eiffel Tower, contrasting the rational 19th century structure of the tower with the restaurant’s irregular 21st century metal canopy.
A transformation of the space that was formerly Auguste Renoir's Parisian residence, this space is created by uniting two floors, installing skylight, in an open space that flows across two levels connected by a custom-designed laser-cut staircase.
